UCD Performing Arts College are proud to announce our 16  and  18 + teacher  training at our fabulous studio's in the heart of Burton on Trent in the Midlands, launching April 2026. These courses are one year vocational qualifications that focuses on providing students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in various aspects of dance. Our qualifications are designed to prepare you  teaching at all levels and ages. 

In our programme, students will learn different dance styles including,

• ballet

• contemporary modern jazz

• contemporary 

• tap

• Theatrecraft 

You will also study dance fitness, choreography, dance history, anatomy and physiology, dance production and management. 

The course will be made up of  practical assessments as well as completing the L3/L4 Teaching Diploma in your chosen subject area. This is portfolio based.

Students will have the opportunity to audition for performance opportunities at the CYD Super Convention and Move It, as well as Christmas pantomimes and national/international performance opportunities..​
